Catalyst Fund13 Update: Week of October 16th
Hello everyone! We’re back with another Fund13 update, and what a week it has been! The final hours of proposal submissions saw a frenzy, with a massive surge of high-quality ideas flooding in across the board. This last-minute push led to an average 33% increase in proposals for the Developers, Ecosystem, Concept, and Product categories, driving the total submissions to new heights.
Shaking Up the Rankings
Despite the influx of proposals, the top-trending submissions in the Developers and Ecosystem categories held their positions. In Developers, EduChain: Education Management System and GameChanger maintained their momentum, while Ecosystem continued to see Cardano Hub in Nyiragongo and [CAFI] Blockchain Education for Vietnamese as favorites.
However, the Concept category experienced a shake-up when CrushOU burst onto the scene. With 111 claps, it quickly took the #1 trending spot, displacing other projects. Tongue Swap held steady at #2. In the Product category, previous leaders WP NMKR Connect and The Cardano Effect were overtaken by Unreal Engine Plugin by Viper Science and Foreon Network’s People-Powered Prediction Market, which claimed the top two spots.
The Race Continues for Partner Categories
While submissions have closed for most categories, the Partner categories of Enterprise R&D and Growth and Acceleration remain open, and the influx of proposals has been impressive, with a 115% average increase. The extended deadline until November 7th gives teams more time to submit their ideas and prepare for the upcoming Community Review period starting on October 24th.
